Here is our 1996–97 version that features the gold NBA logo worn throughout that season to celebrate the league's 50th anniversary. The Heat finished the year with a franchise-best record of 61–21. They defeated the Orlando Magic and New York Knicks in the first two playoff rounds before losing to the Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference Finals. The team was led by defensive star Alonzo Mourning, in his second season in Miami, and point guard Tim Hardaway, who led the team with 20.3 points per game.
